So they are slipping me in tomorrow at 7w5d - I am really hoping that maybe because I needed extra time for progesterone, maybe my baby isn't actually that far behind, but the doctor at the first ultrasound definitely didn't seem to think that was likely (and I know heartbeat and fetal pole are measured by embryo age, not implantation dates, so it probably doesn't matter). Now, I'm not even really sure what I said about the intermittent heartbeat is true. I'm guessing I must've ovulated on or about CD 21, which would be atypically late for me. It did look so tiny on the screen, much smaller than other 7 week scans I've googled (I know I need to keep off google!). Based on my lmp, I thought I was 9+2, but I measured at 7+5. Using an on-line calculator using ovulation date, that changes my due date to 10/9. It turned out that the embryo implanted late so we changed the dates of how far we were along and the due date and sure enough baby measured perfectly at every scan to the new dates and gestation age..
